Shots

Yup, that's right Noah and Aaden got shots on Thursday and here I am just now getting around to writing about it. I never imagined that the days would escape me as much as they do, nor did I imagine that the old me would be so distant. My body has changed, my dreams have changed, my aspirations have changed, my priorities have changed, my desires have changed, my life has changed, and I wouldn't change it for the world. The new me is "different," but content... busy, but grateful, and overwhelmed, but full of love.

We just finished up with a nice visit from "Mima" (my MIL). We spent a great day in San Francisco with her filled with way too much good food and some memories that will last a lifetime. Gabe and I even managed to get two nights out and about without the boys, one together and one apart with friends. We have yet to have anyone watch the boys other then our Moms and my Grandma.

So on to the shots... it was bad, but not as bad as I imagined. They cried some real tears as did their Mommy and their Grammy. Aaden cried much harder, and Aaden is still having some problems. Ever since he has not been himself, feeling warm, and acting cranky. I have been giving him tylenol a couple times a day since the shots and I am not sure whether it is still the shots to blame or rather a cold coming on.

Our boys have caught up in size and our fantastic pediatrician, was VERY pleased with how well the boys are doing all around. Noah is weighing in at 10 pounds, 5 ounces and is 21 3/4 inches. Aaden is 10 pounds, 9 ounces and is 22 3/4 inches. They are tracking, cooing, smiling, and holding their heads up well.

The boys are officially out of newborn clothes and diapers, where is the time going? Seems like just yesterday I was carrying around the start of a little baby belly, which eventually turned into a large baby belly.

Your buys sure are growing fast! I find time going fast for you... can't imagine how fast it feels for you! But, I am glad everything is going well (besides the shots related stuff)! Happy Motherhood to you!

Sounds like those boys are growing like crazy, that is wonderful!! I remember those first round of shots, I think I cried more than Charlotte did. At least now she doesn't hardly cry when she gets them (which seems to be constantly because we have spread some of them out!).

Before you know it they'll be a year, and then it seems to speed up even more after that. I can't believe my baby is already 16 months old, it is crazy!!

Oh my goodness. They are so big. 10 lbs! Thats awesome. Stinks about Aaden not feeling good. I can't imagine the shots woudl linger that long, but def give a call to the doc and see whats up. If he is warm still its most likely a cold but if there is no REAL high fever they will probably say "it will pass, just keep an eye on it" but anywho. We miss you guys. Wish I was there for the "friend night out".

P.S. if we were there you wouldn't have an option but to let us babysit. haha. You can call me GMA Drea if it makes you feel better. RIan is outta the baby phase and moving onto toddler WAY quick. BOOOO!!!!

hugs and kisses to all 4 of you!

They are getting big. How fun. Sorry to hear about the dreaded 2 mth shots. I'm glad they are over with though.
