Where Have I Been?

Geeesssshhh, that was a long break. I apologize to anyone who actually gives a darn that I have been M.I.A. This Mom of twins thing really is a full time job. Not to mention, I can no longer get on the computer when the kids are awake. As soon as the desk doors open, they are all into everything, and that is NOT an exaggeration. The desk, fridge, and dishwasher are their favorite things to get into.

Both bubs are super mobile and Aaden is very close to walking. Noah has yet to master pulling himself up on stuff, but it won't be long now.

Aaden has four teeth, and Noah has two. They are loving eating real people food. Toast, frozen waffles, chicken, bananas, carrots, yams, rice, and peas. They are waving and clapping and can say Hi, Mama, and Dada.

We all just got over a nasty stomach virus, I mean really nasty. It hit Noah the hardest, poor guy. Poor guy had to have about four baths a day, and the washing machine never stopped.

At our nine month check-up Noah weighed in at 20 lbs. and was 28.5". Aaden was 17 lbs. 12 oz. and was 29" long. Both boys were borderline anemic, so we are supposed to add more red meat and leafy greens to their diet. So far, we haven't been able to do that considering the bug they have had. Hopefully by next week we can work on it more.

Still no offers on our house, which is starting to worry me a bit, but I know it will all work out somehow. We are getting excited about our rental and more space, not to mention A.C. and a garage.

I have lots of pictures, but as I mentioned earlier, getting on the computer is not an easy task when the guys are awake, I hope to get around to it soon.

We have a jam packed month coming up, which includes swimming lessons and lots of events with friends, oh how I love Summer! Noah and Aaden are so much fun right now, this is a great age. More work, but SOOOOOO worth it.

Wheels are spinning for the big first birthday, I cannot believe they are already nine months old. I would LOVE to drop a fortune and do a farm theme, with a petting zoo, but we won't. Trying to budget the best we can and save the farm theme for when they are a little older and can actually enjoy it. I would love to hear your tips and themes for first birthdays, comment and leave me some ideas.

They're already 9 months old? Wow!! Everytime I read your blog I can't help but get all sentimental. I totally miss when my little ones were that age...it was so much fun and I honestly wished I had treasured the time more. It sounds like you are really enjoying your time with them!!

The 1st birthday is really more for you and the family than it is for them...they'll have no clue what's going on! We did a very simple party here at our house with family and friends...pizza, soda and cake. They napped through most of it...LOL!!

Finally a post! Woohoo. I agree with the Helene (Hi Helene..just a fellow blogger here). She hit the head on the nail when she said it was all about the fam and parents. We BBQ'd. Totally fun, chill and we had some CAR decorations to tie it together. Rian was awake for his but he was more into the ball pit we put up as were the other kids. Whatever you end up doing you know we will be there to help ya out!

I would totally go chill on the first birthday too...unless you want something big and crazy, I would stick to a BBQ, and some cake. :)
