Shots

Yup, that's right Noah and Aaden got shots on Thursday and here I am just now getting around to writing about it. I never imagined that the days would escape me as much as they do, nor did I imagine that the old me would be so distant. My body has changed, my dreams have changed, my aspirations have changed, my priorities have changed, my desires have changed, my life has changed, and I wouldn't change it for the world. The new me is "different," but content... busy, but grateful, and overwhelmed, but full of love.

We just finished up with a nice visit from "Mima" (my MIL). We spent a great day in San Francisco with her filled with way too much good food and some memories that will last a lifetime. Gabe and I even managed to get two nights out and about without the boys, one together and one apart with friends. We have yet to have anyone watch the boys other then our Moms and my Grandma.

So on to the shots... it was bad, but not as bad as I imagined. They cried some real tears as did their Mommy and their Grammy. Aaden cried much harder, and Aaden is still having some problems. Ever since he has not been himself, feeling warm, and acting cranky. I have been giving him tylenol a couple times a day since the shots and I am not sure whether it is still the shots to blame or rather a cold coming on.

Our boys have caught up in size and our fantastic pediatrician, was VERY pleased with how well the boys are doing all around. Noah is weighing in at 10 pounds, 5 ounces and is 21 3/4 inches. Aaden is 10 pounds, 9 ounces and is 22 3/4 inches. They are tracking, cooing, smiling, and holding their heads up well.

The boys are officially out of newborn clothes and diapers, where is the time going? Seems like just yesterday I was carrying around the start of a little baby belly, which eventually turned into a large baby belly.

Here

This is a post and video I have been dreaming of creating and posting for about a year now. On March 8, 2009 I blogged about the video I may some day create featuring our little pumpkins.

The day has finally come, and I couldn't be more thankful for where we are, and where we have been. I wouldn't change a thing, I'd walk right back through the rain, back to every broken heart on the day that it was breaking. I'd re-live all the years and be thankful for the tears, because it brought me here, to a love that I NEVER thought I'd get to get to.

I Miss It

Okay this may sound nuts so soon, but I miss being pregnant. I want to be pregnant again so very badly. Do I want another baby already? NO! But I want to be pregnant!

I loved being pregnant, and while I HATED bedrest, I loved my belly and feeling the boys move and minus the bedrest and my cervix, I had a super easy pregnancy. What does this mean? Why do I want to be pregnant so badly again? Maybe it's because I feel like I missed out on a lot of the fun stuff in my pregnancy, or maybe it's because for so many years it is ALL I ever wanted, and now I feel like that is just what I am supposed to want all the time.

I am even having a hard time putting my maternity clothes in our storage shed, and while I KNOW that we are not ready for another baby financially for another four years or so, I just can't stop thinking about it. Am I nuts? The answer is yes, but still I can't wait to be pregnant again and I can't stop thinking about our little frozen babies. Or maybe I am just dreading getting back in shape. Hehehe.

On another note, does anyone have any tips on how to get under my child's neck to stop smelling like sour milk? Seriously babies are supposed to smell all cute and sweet, not mine... he stinks! I give him a bath every other day and wipe him down after every meal and still he stinks a few hours after bath time. I am leaning towards baths every day for my messy eater, but I know that isn't good for his skin. Any thoughts?

I Just Can't Get Enough of These Boys

Time, time is hard to come by these days.  I rarely have time to actually get on a computer, but I do check in on you all from my phone, but don't leave comments.

I got a shot in my right wrist yesterday.  So far it feels worse instead of better.  The doctor said it was one of the worst cases he had seen.  Nice, leave it to me.  He was surprised I didn't come to see him sooner.  I'm hoping the shot does the trick.

In baby news, I put shoes on the boys and Aaden has learned that when he cries, I will pick him up, so he's trying that often.  They are changing so much, I can hardly recognize them myself.
